The Marchand Ōtautahi studio is both a commercial space and a physical expression of the Marchand story. Designed to reflect where the brand has come from and where it is going, it anchors the space to its Southern Alps roots while projecting its future direction.
At the centre is the Marchand “M”, integrated through custom furniture and detailing. Its form draws from the mountain ranges the founders call home, symbolising strength, foundation, and growth. References to the original brand logo are layered throughout, ensuring the evolution of Marchand remains connected to its origins.
Materiality leads the experience. European oak is used across floors and walls to demonstrate consistency, durability, and timeless design. The space is immersive, allowing architects, designers, and homeowners to experience the full application of the product.
Marchand studio is a place for collaboration and specification. It reflects Marchand’s core belief, to bring quality back to New Zealand projects, while the repeated mountain form signals the brand’s continued direction, and reflects the mountains Marchand will continue to climb.
