Inside: oak flooring and wall board samples from the Dark and Moody palette, and beside them the carpet, cladding, stone, cabinetry and fabric tones our interior designers would set with it. Not a standard kit. Chosen for your house after a short call about the rooms, the light and the budget, and collated by hand in the studio.

Dark oak flooring in New Zealand
Lune, Chocolat, Bordeaux and Noir Bandsawn. Deep smoked grey, rich chocolate, dark warm brown and a black bandsawn texture.
Lune is smoked before it is coloured, so its grey sits in the timber rather than on it. The browns are coloured deep into a brushed face for the same reason: the floor reads soft instead of flat. These colours suit black joinery, schist, dark stone and low winter light, and they are the most forgiving of everyday wear. Noir Bandsawn is a wall and ceiling board only.
