Quiet and Light
The hardest tone to get right. Most pale floors go chalky, or drift yellow within a year. These hold their whiteness with the grain still reading through, in rooms built to take light.

Light oak flooring in New Zealand
Blanc, Clair and Picasso. Whitewashed, warm pale and natural European oak, all on the 20mm board with a 6mm wear layer.
These are the colours that carry natural light furthest, which makes them the usual answer in south-facing rooms, apartments and galleries. They sit well with white and off-white walls, pale plaster, marble and light stone, and they are the least forgiving of a floor that is not kept clean.
